This camp allows students to have a week filled of artistic expression, faith-based teachings, and the joy of learning ballet and lyrical. Camp activities include ballet basics and lyrical dance workshops, allowing young dancers to explore the beauty of movement in a Christian context. During this fun camp, kids will get a chance to learn and play the game of soccer and basketball. This is the perfect camp to have some fun, learn and explore a new sport, and develop some skills. In this course, students will have the opportunity to make some of the messiest and loudest science experiments around and they will be learning in the process! All while having FUN!! Students in this course will explore and experiment with chemical and physical changes, structure and design, electricity and motion. We will be making our own bouncy balls and lava lamps, experimenting with different types of slime, creating some amazing crystals, manufacturing our own candy, and much more! Description:
We will get creative with different shapes and colours of beads to create various types of jewelry. Campers will discover the art of crafting their own jewelry, such as necklaces, bracelets, and rings. In the second half of the camp, campers will be introduced to Perler beads – small, plastic beads that can melt together. They will arrange different colourful beads on a special pegboard to form a design. Then, using an iron and wax paper (performed by the teachers and volunteers), they will melt the beads together. Once cooled, a solid piece of plastic in their chosen design will be created! The finished product can be turned into key chains or magnets. Upon completing their fun Perler bead design and one-of-a-kind jewelry, campers can take it home to share with friends and family.
