All our PACE instructors are TRB certified with a Bachelor of Education, are certified Education Assistants, or are highly certified within their respective area of expertise. Erin serves as a Grade 2 teacher at Pacific Academy. Possessing a fondness for travel, she has resided in various countries across Europe and Africa, enriching her perspective and cultural awareness. Beyond her educational endeavors, Erin engages in diverse artistic pursuits, such as experimenting with various forms of art, indulging in literature, and nurturing a penchant for writing. Additionally, she finds joy in leisurely walks accompanied by her canine companion, Koda. This summer, Erin is enthusiastic about introducing watercolor painting to campers in the K-5 age group, aiming to foster creativity and artistic expression!

Bonita has been a dedicated member of the Pacific Academy community since 2014, presently serving as an Educational Assistant in the Middle School. Her passion lies in fostering positive interactions with students of diverse age groups, inspiring and guiding them toward realizing their fullest potential. Despite the demands of raising her two teenage children, Bonita actively engages in various pursuits during her leisure hours. She is a committed volunteer within her church community and eagerly seeks new adventures with family and friends. Known for her meticulous event planning skills, Bonita is adept at organizing occasions, both grand and intimate. Furthermore, her enthusiasm for crafting extends to creating homemade gifts, and she consistently explores various forms of arts and crafts as part of her creative pursuits.

South Korean-Canadian cellist, Alice Cho, graduated with her master’s in music education at Eastern Michigan University and served as the graduate assistant in Orchestral Studies. Alice was the principal of the cello section and lead cello and bass sectionals. She received her Bachelor and Master's degree in cello performance from University of Toronto. Alice is a regular participant in multiple festivals (NYO Canada & EUYO, NYO Canada, & NAO Canada) and competitions. She was the winner of the 2021 & 2020 Graduate Performance Competition at EMU’s School of Music & Dance. Alice' other interests include technology, media, robotics, coding, and crafting. She works at Pacific Academy as an Education Assistant and is looking forward to running various camps this summer!

Alice Cho, a South Korean-Canadian cellist, recently completed her master's degree in music education at Eastern Michigan University, where she concurrently served as the graduate assistant in Orchestral Studies. Angela has been teaching mathematics since 2014 and got her Master’s degree in secondary math education from Simon Fraser University in 2020. For the last few years, she has been supporting the math program at Pacific Academy for grades 3-12 and will be including grades K-2 in her portfolio by the end of the 2024 school year. Angela loves helping students of all ages deepen their understanding of complex and beautiful mathematical concepts, develop greater confidence in their mathematical abilities, and grow in awe of God’s created world through mathematics.

Vitally possesses 19 years of teaching experience, with the past 8 years dedicated to Pacific Academy. His passion for manual craftsmanship stems from a childhood influenced by his father, a skilled carpenter. Having imparted Woodworking skills to his Grade 3 students at Pacific Academy, he is inspired to extend this expertise by introducing Woodworking as part of the summer camp program.

Teresa has been teaching at Pacific Academy for the past 14 years as Kindergarten and Grade One teacher. This past year she took on the amazing new challenge of Learning Support Coordinator in the Primary School and loves it! She holds both a Bachelor of Education degree (SFU) and a Child and Youth Care Counselling degree (UFV). Teresa has immensely enjoyed her past years as a PACE instructor and due to the fact she says she is not overly talented in creative arts, does not excel in any sports or in cooking and absolutely cannot dance, she will once again be teaching her most favourite subject, Science! Her main passion outside of teaching is being a mom to two wonderful teenagers and being their biggest cheerleader as she watches them excel in their sports activities, track and basketball.

Natalie is currently an Educational Assistant at the Pacific Academy Middle School, having dedicated three years to the institution. Transitioning from an initial role in Intermediate, she has seamlessly integrated into the middle school environment this academic year. With an extensive background spanning eight years, Natalie has cultivated her experience working with diverse groups of children. Her roles have encompassed positions such as a behaviour interventionist, youth care worker, group leader, family support worker, counselor, and Sunday school teacher, showcasing her versatility across a wide age range from 3 to 18 years old. A fervent enthusiast of outdoor pursuits, Lisa dedicates her weekends and summers to engaging in activities such as hiking various mountains and exploring outdoor spaces. A dedicated advocate for youth development, she derives fulfillment from introducing young individuals to new outdoor experiences and witnessing their growth through overcoming challenges. In addition to her commitment, Lisa holds certifications in wilderness first aid and various outdoor disciplines.

Tim has served as an Education Assistant at Pacific Academy since September 2022, where he achieved one of his lifelong aspirations by coaching basketball. Over two consecutive years, he guided the grade 8 girls' team to notable success, demonstrating his deep passion for sports. His involvement in athletics began at the age of five with soccer, which he continued until he was fifteen, alongside a dedicated five-year commitment to high school basketball. Always eager to explore new sports, Tim has recently become engrossed in Tennis. Additionally, from 2016 to 2022, he served as a pastor at his local church while pursuing his master's degree at Regent College. Tim's dedication extends beyond sports, he finds fulfillment in mentoring youth, witnessing their growth not only in athletic prowess but also in faith and character development in Christ.
